What changes are proposed?

The City of Gold Coast is proposing to expand and upgrade the existing Benowa Depot to support ongoing operational needs.

The Benowa site has long been used as a depot, and the proposal builds on this established use. The expansion will enhance the current facility rather than introduce a new or different type of activity, ensuring continuity of operations while making better use of the existing site.

The proposal includes:

• Expansion of facilities within the existing Benowa Depot site
• Upgrades to buildings and infrastructure to support current and future operations
• Continued use of the site for depot‑related purposes consistent with its long‑standing function
  
  

No change is proposed to the overall role of the depot, and activities will remain consistent with current operations. The proposed changes will have no effect on the ongoing treatment plant operations.
