Proposed amendment: Introducing new dog prohibited area.

Dog regulation change is proposed following the area within the Freshwater Wetlands and Gondwana Forest being identified as environmentally sensitive.

Part 1 - Animal control areas where a person is prohibited from bringing a dog at any time

The dog prohibited area is limited within the area indicated by the red dotted line on schedule 2, map 70.

Regulating dog access to environmentally sensitive locations will provide better protection for vulnerable native flora and fauna and help preserve biodiversity in key areas across the Gold Coast.
