Have your say: Animal control area administrative amendments (June 2024)
Coomera Sports Park, Wallaby Park and Emerald Lakes Parklands
The City of Gold Coast (the City) is proposing additional administrative changes to three of our dog off leash areas, following engagement with the community after the initial amendment in 2023.
Administrative changes are proposed for Coomera Sports Park, Wallaby Park and Emerald Lakes Parklands.
We need your feedback to help us plan effectively when considering these important changes.
We seek to provide the facilities needed for increased dog registration and population numbers, while carefully considering safety, wildlife conservation and legal requirements.
Criteria considered includes environmental status, an exchange of land ownership or community agreement regarding unsuitability of designation.
