Austinville Conservation Area Landscape Concept Plan

Project Update
Community feedback, together with stakeholder input and technical and environmental investigations, played an important role in shaping the future direction of the project. The insights received informed a comprehensive review of the 50% draft concept, resulting in significant refinements to the proposed design, including a reduction in the size and scale of the works.
What’s changed – You said, we did
As part of the refinement of the 50% concept design, community feedback informed changes to the final concept design.
Removal of the large swing bridge across Mudgeeraba Creek
Removal of the overflow carpark on Mt Nimmel Reserve Road
Reduction in amenities from 4 cubicles to 2 cubicles
A dedicated vehicle turnaround area has been incorporated into the design to support manoeuvring of larger vehicles servicing the local area, due to formalising parking
Reduction in the overall project footprint.
As a result of this process, the project has evolved into the Austinville Conservation Area Trailhead, a more focused and simplified proposal that responds to community feedback while supporting the site's established role as a key access point to the Austinville-Bonogin trail network.
This evolution of the project demonstrates how community feedback has directly influenced the design and helped shape a proposal that better aligns with the site's natural character and intended use.
