The Yatala/Stapylton Enterprise Area is the largest industrial area on the Gold Coast.
Although there are only a small number of High impact industry zoned areas on the Gold Coast, they significantly contribute to the economy and play a pivotal role in the industrial supply chain.
High impact industry land uses require appropriately located land to function effectively and avoid impacts on sensitive uses such as residential.
The Yatala Enterprise Area Industry Amendment (Amendment) was publicly advertised for submissions between 20 June 2024 and 18 July 2024.
There were 33 submissions received, resulting in 63 individual submission points. City officers have undertaken an assessment of the submissions and identified several changes required to respond to submissions.
Because the changes to the Amendment, proposed in response to public consultation, are considered to be ‘significantly different’ to the version released for public consultation, the public consultation process is required to be repeated. The content will be limited to only the refinements proposed in the second round of consultation.
You are invited to have your say between 21 January and19 February 2025.
Post your formal submission to Chief Executive Officer, City of Gold Coast, PO Box 5042, Gold Coast MC QLD 9726
