We’re planning to upgrade and improve Robina Common to ensure it continues to meet the needs of both local sports clubs and the community.
Located in the heart of Robina, the park provides open green space for baseball and soccer, alongside community facilities such as playgrounds, an off‑leash dog area, picnic and barbecue facilities and fitness equipment.
A master plan was developed to guide future improvements. In 2022, we asked how you use the park, what you value and what improvements you would like to see. Your feedback helped shape the draft concept plan.
You said / We did
You said: You value open green space, access to nature and footpaths.
We did: We’ve retained the open green space and trees, and improved the path network to better support walking, jogging and connections across the park.
You said: Parking can be challenging during busy times.
We did: We’ve included a new 85‑space car park next to the Junior Soccer Fields.
You said: Community facilities like playgrounds, picnic areas and barbecues could be improved.
We did: We’ve included upgrades in the draft concept plan and are now seeking your feedback on how these can be improved.
You said: Drainage can be an issue.
We did: Drainage improvements will be delivered as part of this upgrade, particularly in low-lying areas like the playground.
Building on community feedback, and input from local sports clubs, we’ve developed a draft concept plan that includes upgrades to sports and community facilities. Proposed improvements include a new shared clubhouse with public amenities, upgraded lighting, improved playing fields, a multipurpose astroturf facility and additional parking.
The draft concept plan also includes improvements to playgrounds, paths and connections, seating and shade to support greater community use.
Have your say
We’re now seeking your feedback on the draft concept plan.
We want to know how you use the park, what you think of the proposed improvements and what would encourage you to visit more often.
Your feedback will help refine the concept plan and guide future priorities.
We’re seeking feedback on:
- Playground configuration
- Paths, parking and connections
- Safety and lighting
- Fitness equipment
- Community facilities, seating and shade
- Water fountains
- Opportunities to encourage greater community use
