Planning is underway to reinstate Redondo Park in Miami, as a greener, more active space for the community.
The site is currently being used as a construction site for Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 works, but once complete, it will return as a community park across from the future Miami Light Rail Station.
Our goal is to create a green, welcoming space and recreational opportunities for both local residents and the community.
We want your feedback on two possible design options for the park. Both design options will include new trees, gardens and seating areas in the park, but will provide different recreational features:
Option 1:
open grass space
small recreation features (such as fitness equipment, a ping pong table, or other minor features)
Option 2:
a free to use, community tennis court, replicating the former use of the park prior to Gold Coast Light Rail construction.
Your feedback will shape the design, ensuring it provides features that matter most to residents and the community. You’re also welcome to suggest other features and ideas you want to see.
The consultation is open from Tuesday 21 October to Tuesday 4 November 2025.
