Update October 2026

Community engagement was undertaken from 28 July to 17 August 2026. Thank you to everyone who shared feedback during consultation.

Results of the consultation are available in the Community Engagement Report in the documents section of this page.

The consultation aimed to:

  • understand how Glennon Park is currently used by sporting clubs, community groups and the wider community
  • identify key challenges affecting park use and functionality
  • understand community priorities for future improvements and investment
  • gather feedback on opportunities to enhance accessibility, connectivity, safety and recreation
  • inform the development of the Glennon Park Concept Plan.

Key findings

A total of 175 survey responses were received.

  • Most respondents were regular park users, with 77% visiting Glennon Park weekly or daily and 62% identifying as members of a sporting club or community group that uses the park.
  • Improved drainage was the highest-ranked improvement priority, selected by 65% of respondents.
  • Lighting and safety were key concerns, with 46% of respondents identifying improved lighting as a priority.
  • Support for new and upgraded sporting facilities was 59%.

Next steps

Your feedback will help inform the development of the draft Glennon Park Concept Plan. It will be considered alongside technical investigations, stakeholder input and project requirements to identify future improvement opportunities for the precinct.

The project is now progressing into concept plan development. Once the draft concept plan has been prepared, we will share with you for further feedback. Progression of future design and delivery stages will be subject to funding availability, project priorities and required approvals.
