Draft Water Strategy 2018

Consultation has concluded

The Draft Water Strategy is the first five year phase of a 20 year transition to become a city sustained and inspired by water. This will be achieved through implementing initiatives under five strategic outcomes.

The Strategy covers aspects such as safe and reliable drinking water, sanitation and recycled water services, city resilience during floods and droughts, healthy waterways and liveability. It also finds opportunities for the City to partner with local authorities, state government agencies, community groups, universities, schools, industry and key commercial customers to better manage and protect water on the Gold Coast.

We wanted to hear how water environments, water services and water inspired design is important to you. The engagement ran from 1 to 22 November 2018. The Draft Water Strategy summary and full engagement reports are now available.

Congratulations to Maverick from Pacific Pines who was the winner of the Gold Coast inspired 10ft stand up paddle board by Chris Garrett valued at $2,010.

Thank you for your time and input into helping shape the direction of our vibrant water city.
