Draft Solid Waste Strategy 2014-2023
This consultation has now closed and the following content is retained for your information.
The City of Gold Coast is drafting a Solid Waste Strategy to respond to the City's needs over the next nine years and outline potential ways to encourage sustainable cost-effective waste practices.
The City wants to know what we can do better and how everyone can contribute to keeping our city clean, now and in the future. The City's waste includes a variety of materials originating from households, commercial premises and construction and demolition activities. These are the waste products that as a City, we throw in a bin when we are finished with them.
For the purposes of this draft Solid Waste Strategy, this survey does not discuss liquid wastes, sewage wastewaters, sludges or products from hazardous or toxic waste treatment.
We welcome your ideas and suggestions to manage waste in our City and help shape the final Solid Waste Strategy 2014-2023.
