Thank you to everyone who participated in the Sickle Park consultation.
Community feedback gathered through the consultation has helped inform future planning for Sickle Park. To learn more about the consultation findings, view the Community Engagement Report and Summary Report. These reports provide an overview of community participation and the feedback received throughout the engagement process.
Since consultation was undertaken, further investigations and design work have been completed, and an updated Sickle Park Concept Plan has been prepared. The plan includes a number of recently completed works, such as shade and picnic facilities, as well as proposed opportunities that may help guide future investment and improvements at Sickle Park.
Delivery of any proposed improvements will be subject to future decisions, funding availability, detailed design and project planning.
Sickle Park is a popular recreation park, with amenities such as tennis courts, a dog off leash area and playground, centrally located at Hope Island. The size, popularity and features of this park make it a suitable location for increased use and upgrades to facilities. A concept design is being developed, aimed at providing key improvements such as an additional tennis court, basketball half court, picnic shelter, shading over the playground and additional on-site parking.
