Help shape the future of the Runaway Bay Pump Track
Runaway Bay Sports Precinct is a major sports precinct, supporting more than 20 sports and providing competition and training facilities from local to regional levels. The precinct also includes an existing dirt BMX track.
The Gold Coast Skate and BMX Facility Plan identified the site as the preferred northern Gold Coast location for an upgraded pump track.
We are proposing a new pump track at Runaway Bay Sports Precinct. The proposed pump track would replace the existing dirt BMX track with a modern facility designed for riders of different ages and skill levels, including beginner, intermediate and advanced/expert users.
Developed by specialist pump track designers, the concept design aims to create a safe, functional and enjoyable riding experience while supporting skills development and rider progression.
The proposed upgrade also supports the long-term vision for Runaway Bay Sports Precinct, with the Runaway Bay Sports Precinct Master Plan identifying an upgraded pump track as a priority recreation improvement for the precinct.
Have your say
Whether you're a rider, local resident or park user, we'd like to hear your views on the proposed design and how it could be improved.
We’re seeking feedback on:
the proposed track layout and rider experience
riding features, including jumps, berms and circulation
accessibility, safety and user comfort
supporting infrastructure including seating, shade and drinking water
whether some dirt BMX riding opportunities should be retained as part of the upgrade
opportunities to improve the concept design before it is finalised.
Complete the survey and help shape the future design of the proposed pump track. Your feedback will help us understand how the proposed design meets user needs and identify opportunities for improvement before the design is finalised. Feedback will be considered alongside technical requirements, site constraints, safety considerations and available funding.
Have your say from Tuesday 27 October to Monday 16 November 2026.
We look forward to receiving your feedback.
