What are administrative amendments?

Administrative amendments as part of the review process, aim to provide improved readability and clearer instruction through removal of duplication or overly prescriptive provisions.

What are Off-Street Regulated Parking Areas (OSRPA)?

The Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 (TORUM) provides the City with the mechanism to regulate parking in its local government area on an off-street regulated parking area (OSRPA).

An OSPRA is an area of land, including any structure on the land, that is controlled by Council, and is specified as an OSRPA under a local law.

Why are we updating the OSRPA?

The OSRPA register has been updated with newly identified OSRPAs that have had regulated signage installations since the last local law amendment and inclusion of newly identified “hot spot” areas requiring regulation.

Why have the number of OSRPAs increased in Schedule 2 Part 1 (General)?

Along with the new car parks identified and included into Schedule 2 Part 1 OSRPAs, boat ramp car parks currently situated in Schedule 2 Part 3 have been amalgamated into Part 1 and Part 3 subsequently removed.
