The City is closing its Ozone Parade depot in Miami as it is a surplus to the City’s needs. This presents an opportunity for the City to transform this central infill site into a Creative Industries Precinct.
This is a significant opportunity for the Gold Coast to enhance its economic and cultural landscape. By repurposing the Miami Depot site, the City can create a hub that supports the growth of creative industries, attracts investment, and provides valuable community benefits. The proposal has the potential to drive economic development, support local employment, and enhance the liveability of the neighbourhood.
The concept has been informed by the Nobby Beach and Miami North Station Neighbourhood Framework vision for the area and would celebrate Miami’s village character and support the emerging creative industries. This consultation is a continuation of discussions with residents around managing growth in the area while protecting your coastal lifestyle.
