By 2046, the Gold Coast will be home to over one million people — welcoming around 388,300 new residents, delivering 185,000 new homes, and creating 173,800 new jobs.

We need to plan for this growth now to maintain our city’s liveability, so young people can stay and work closer to home, and older residents can remain in the neighbourhoods they love.

Together with the community, we have developed 8 directions for growth that will help guide the development of our new Planning Scheme.

This is a key opportunity to help shape how our city grows — and one of several chances to get involved.
