Griffith Street Centre Improvement Project

This consultation has concluded.

The consultation process for the draft Revitalisation 'Master' Plan for Griffith Street has now closed.

Thank you for taking part in the consultation.

Council will now collate & assess all comments received on the Plan and:

  • Respond to comments where necessary
  • Refine & finalise the Plan
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates of the works
  • Meet with the Project Reference Group (PRG) to discuss the public display feedback, finalise the Plan and project scope and then move into the construction documentation phase of the project.

    I do like the idea of using some laneway elements. But can we ensure that the connection to the beach and sea is very strong. The construction of the mall has cut off the town from the beach, so re-building those connections where possible is important.
