We need community voices to help us plan for population growth and create a vision for the future that retains the lifestyle we all love.
The people who live, work and play in our neighbourhoods have unique and valuable insights into how we should plan for growth.
To ensure diverse perspectives and experiences are considered throughout the development of our Local Growth Management Strategy and new Planning Scheme, we are inviting expressions of interest for three important representative groups.
Choose from one of 3 representative forum options and participate in the planning process.
Option 1: Community Insights Panel – An online panel of 300 people who will collaborate through a secure online portal for panel members throughout the development of the new Planning Scheme (approximately 2 years).
Option 2: Community Reference Group – A 20-person group that will meet quarterly in person throughout the development of the new Planning Scheme (approximately 2 years) made up of diverse representation of community members from across the city.
Options 3: Industry Reference Group – A 20-person group that will meet quarterly in person throughout the development of the new Planning Scheme (approximately 2 years) made up of representatives from the property, construction, planning and development industries that regularly interact with the current and previous planning schemes.
Expressions of Interest for membership to these groups is now open. We encourage individuals who represent various lived experiences and perspectives to apply.

Complete the online application below, and indicate which forum is right for you. The first question will ask if you are submitting your application as a member of the community or as a representative from the planning and developmentindustry.
If you choose Community, you will be directed to a set of questions relevant to the Community Reference Group and Community Insights Panel.
If you choose Industry, you will be directed to questions relevant to the Industry Reference Group.
