In consultation with business and industry, Council's Economic Development team have developed the Draft Strategy. Council invites you to give your comments and feedback on this Draft Strategy.
The Draft Strategy aims to improve our $23 billion regional economy over the next 10 years by focusing on doubling our exports, creating more jobs, improving business confidence, further diversifying our economy, improving our standard of living and creating a more productive workforce.
The Draft Strategy has six key themes:
- innovation - fostering innovation and entrepreneurial activity
- cultural - building a thriving cultural economy by growing our creative industries
- infrastructure - increasing tourism infrastructure
- competitive business - reducing regulation and red tape
- workforce - increasing study and training in the city; and
- international - getting recognition as a world class business destination.
You can participate and have your say by:

- joining the online discussion forum; and
- completing the survey
