Local Law amendment - Waste Management 2017
This consultation has concluded.
The City of Gold Coast is responsible for protecting the public health, safety and amenity of city residents and visitors and has proposed the new local law to best facilitate waste management delivery.
The objective of this local law is to protect the public health, safety and amenity related to waste management by:
- regulating the storage, servicing and removal of waste
- regulating the disposal of waste at waste facilities
- ensuring that an act or omission does not result in human injury, property damage or environmental harm.
