Springbrook Eaglemont Estate Master Plan

Springbrook is a place of stunning natural beauty, renowned for its spectacular waterfalls, ancient rainforests and sweeping hinterland views.

We are committed to preserving and protecting this important natural precinct, while ensuring both locals and visitors have the amenities they need to enjoy the area in an environmentally responsible way.

We are preparing a master plan for the future of Eaglemont Estate in Springbrook. This plan will guide how the site may evolve over time to:

  • explore appropriate, low-impact nature-based tourism opportunities on the Estate
  • support the needs of the local community
  • improve amenities and infrastructure
  • protect environmental and cultural values.

We understand the importance of protecting Springbrook’s unique character, and this will remain a priority throughout the planning process.

Previous community consultation

Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback during community consultation in July and August 2025. Your input is helping to inform the development of the draft master plan.

Community Reference Group (CRG)

To support the next stage of planning, we are establishing a Community Reference Group (CRG) for the Springbrook Eaglemont Estate Master Plan. The CRG will bring together community members including landowners, local businesses and environmental representatives, to share local knowledge, perspectives and community priorities.

Over approximately 12 months (from June 2026), CRG members will:

  • receive regular project updates
  • provide feedback and local insights
  • identify potential risks and opportunities
  • contribute to discussions that help inform the master planning process.

The CRG will play an important advisory role, helping to ensure the plan reflects community values while supporting a sustainable and environmentally responsible future for Springbrook.

Meetings will be held in person (approximately 2 hours per session) at the Eaglemont Estate or the Springbrook Community Hall.

Express your interest in becoming a CRG member

We are seeking a diverse and balanced group of participants who reflect the Springbrook community and its wide range of perspectives.

CRG members will:

  • stay informed about the project as it progresses
  • share their knowledge, experiences and ideas
  • help identify key issues, risks and opportunities
  • contribute to discussions that help inform the direction of the master plan.

All members will receive an Induction Handbook and clear guidelines on how the group will operate.

If you are interested in participating, please complete the Expression of Interest form below.

Applicants are required to read the CRG Terms of Reference, which outline membership requirements. By submitting an Expression of Interest, applicants agree to accept and be bound by these terms.

Your input will help inform the future of Eaglemont Estate.

Expressions of interest to join the CRG are open from 11 May until 31 May 2026.
