What is Mallawa Sports Complex?
Mallawa Sports Complex is the largest (16.74 ha) sporting and community park in Palm Beach. It is home to a range of field and court sports, playgrounds, an off-leash dog exercise area, community organisations and informal recreation activities, and is an important destination for sporting clubs, residents and visitors.
Why are you consulting the community?
We're seeking feedback to inform the development of Mallawa Sports Complex concept plan. The consultation seeks to better understand how people use Mallawa Sports Complex, what they value and what improvements they would like to see in the future.
Your feedback will help inform the draft concept plan and guide future priorities for the park.
What improvements are being considered?
The draft concept plan will explore opportunities to improve drainage, parking, traffic flow, lighting, safety, accessibility, amenities and connections across Mallawa Sports Complex. It will also consider how the precinct can better support sporting clubs and community facilities to optimise future use of the park.
Will all improvements be completed at once?
No. Upgrades are expected to occur in stages over time, subject to community priorities, approvals and funding.
What is not part of this consultation?
Community engagement will not determine whether the project proceeds, funding or delivery timeframes, detailed design outcomes, lease arrangements with existing sporting clubs, or legislative, environmental or planning requirements.

Community consultation is open from 1 to 21 September 2026.
What happens after consultation closes?
All feedback will be reviewed and analysed.
A community engagement outcomes report will be prepared, and the results will help inform the concept plan design and delivery priorities.
How do I use the interactive map?

Drop a pin on a location within the pink boundary line at Mallawa Sports Complex where you'd like to provide feedback on. For example, you might identify areas with safety concerns, missing footpaths, poor lighting, traffic issues, or places that could be improved.
