The City of Gold Coast employ street sweepers, beach rakers, a fleet of bin collection vehicles and a small army of dedicated cleaners, gardeners and rangers. We service 3,500 public bins across the city and our 12 waste and recycling centres are open 363 days a year. This is in addition to the countless individuals and community groups who take pride in keeping their local areas clean. It is important that the City of Gold Coast manages the rubbish that comes with urbanisation otherwise it can become a significant financial, social and environmental risk.
