The City is committed to an ongoing program of regular updates to ensure the LGIP remains current and responsive to community aspirations, emerging growth and opportunities.
The LGIP identifies the City’s plans for trunk infrastructure that are necessary to service development at the desired standard of service in a coordinated, efficient and financially sustainable manner. The draft LGIP amendment incorporates more recent development projections and planning assumptions, with trunk infrastructure network planning revised to service updated growth projections until 2041.
The draft LGIP amendment applies to the whole city and will result in changes to Part 4 of the City Plan. Public consultation ran from 1 to 19 August 2022.
