Gladys Moncrieff Park Upgrade

Gladys Moncrieff Park is a neighbourhood recreation park in Bundall, located next to Sorrento Shopping Village. The park provides a place for the community to relax, play and enjoy the outdoors, with walking paths, picnic areas, a playground, amenities, a memorial area and a dog off-leash area.

The park is named in honour of renowned Australian opera singer Gladys Moncrieff, who spent her retirement years in the local area.

Many of the park's existing facilities are ageing and due for renewal. To help plan for the park's future, we've prepared a draft concept design that proposes upgrades to key facilities throughout the park. We want to hear your feedback on the proposal before it is finalised.

What’s proposed?

The proposed upgrade will focus on renewing key park infrastructure, including:

  • the playground and shade structures
  • picnic shelters and picnic furniture
  • stand-alone picnic tables and seating
  • sections of the brick-paved plaza
  • sections of the concrete pathways
  • sandstone waterfront terraces.

The draft concept design focuses on renewing ageing park infrastructure while maintaining the park as a valued local recreation space.
