Planning for the future of our city
Our City Plan sets out a fresh and innovative approach for how we manage and support long-term growth.
As the city grows, we need to update City Plan to ensure that it continues to balance the needs of our growing community while protecting our valued lifestyle.
Following thorough investigation, updates to were proposed City Plan with implications for the Ormeau area. This included opening up more land for residential development with suitable areas of recreational open space and land for conservation purposes.
Community opinions on the proposed updates were sought. Refer to the Committee Agenda Report and associated attachments for more information on results and outcomes from the engagement.
