The Gold Coast is one of Australia’s most biodiverse cities and its world-class natural environment underpins our way of life.
We recognise pest animals and weeds as a significant threat to biodiversity and agricultural productivity and the City of Gold Coast (City) has developed the Draft Gold Coast Biosecurity Management Plan 2018-23 to ensure our city is managing pest species to protect our environment, economy, community and lifestyle.
The draft plan highlights the City's commitment to partnering with the Queensland Government and key stakeholders to help reduce pest impacts.
